Lightfolio have been appointed by British Waterways and artist Andy Scott to devise a lighting design for the 'Big Man', a new canal bridge crossing at Stockingfield Junction in the Maryhill area of Glasgow.

This unique three way bridge crossing will reconnect the towpath link that was severed when the Bowling leg of the canal was built back in the 18th Century.

The concept of merging structural engineering and art in the form of a bridge and a 100ft high sculpture ensures that this will be an iconic structure of international standing. The scheme will be submitted for planning and ancient monument consent at the end of April 2009.
