Tollcross Park Location: Glasgow Client: Tollcross Housing Association
This project was our first time working with talented local artist Andy Scott. This collaboration produced a beautiful and enchenting end result befitting of the theme of the railings created by Andy, that of the owl and the pussycat.
This was the first project where we used LED colour change which was employed within the filigree capping balls created for the top of the gate posts either side of the entrance.
Static coloured in-ground uplighting was also used to highlight trees beyond the entrance to entice people in to the park.
The client decided that although the use of so many in-ground uplighter's represented an easy target for vandals, the scheme should go ahead on the basis that people should be trusted not to damage the installation. To date the client's approach has been borne out as community buy-in has been high and instances of vandalism have been very low.
